National City Housing Study

A design and visualization project for The Red Office studying how mixed-use development could be incorporated with existing surface parking in National City. The study involves three schemes of varying density with commercial space on the ground floor.

The brief was to take plans and sections of existing Red Office micro units and incorporate them into a skinny housing development that runs along the perimeter of parking lots without reducing the number of parking spots. The schemes are designed to be built without reducing parking spots during construction as well.
